How to Read Guitar Chord Diagrams
Guitar chord diagrams show you exactly where to place your fingers on the fretboard. The vertical lines represent the strings (low E on the left, high E on the right), and the horizontal lines represent the frets.
- Dots show where to press down with your fingers
- X means don't play that string (mute it)
- O means play the string open (no finger pressed)
- Numbers inside dots indicate which fret to press
